  • Reported and produced approximately 7,500-word explanatory feature with multimedia on what happened at Stony Brook University Hospital during the pandemic.

  • Researched and reported on the history of slavery on Long Island.

  • Reported and wrote a five-minute radio piece that aired on WSHU.

  • Published feature article in Newsday that placed among the top 20 in the Hearst Feature Writing Competition.

  • Radio series was recognized with an Edward R. Murrow Award, placed among the top 20 in Hearst Multimedia Digital News/Enterprise Story competition and won best History Feature among student-produced news by the Fair Media Council in 2021.

EDITORIAL INTERN, DOW JONES NEWS FUND

  • Worked at Royal Media, via the Dow Jones News Fund. 

  • Participated in week-long crash course on business journalism prior to internship, courtesy of DJNF.

  • Reported and wrote more than 100 articles for PowerSports Finance, Bank Innovation and Air Cargo News.

  • Broke a story for PowerSports Finance that set a new record for the website, at more than 23,000 hits.

INTERN, FIRE ISLAND CHRONICLE

  • Reported and wrote articles on events in Ocean Beach, the largest community on Fire Island, for a biweekly print newspaper.
